Artigiana Serramenti uses only timber from responsability managed forests, purchased directly from the source. Artigiana Serramenti has conducted extensive, research into the properties of all suitable wood varieties and has enabled to select only those varietes that aesthetic and structural characteristics lend themselves to today's most demanding design solutions. In order to meet our customer's need, we disposeof a warehouse variously divided as follows:
PHILIPINE MAHOGANY WOOD Good resistance against moulds and insects, good durability with a discrete mechanical resistance, good resistance to cromatic variations. It shows open pores and rough and irregular weaving surface. Specific weight from 0,56 to 0,78 kg/dm3
OAK WOOD Wood with an optimal mechanical resistance, optimal also against moulds and insects, optimal durability. Aspect characterized by an open pore surface. Specific weight from 0,68 to 0,82 kg/dm3
MAHOGANY WOOD Wood with a discrete mechanical resistance, optimal durability. It's unique aspect combines the elegance of weave with the luxury of the furniture for which purpose is mostly used. Specific weight from 0,54 to 0,56 kg/dm3
PLANTATION TEAK WOOD Characterized by a high mechanical resistance and optimal durability against humid and marine environments. Unique aspect with wavy fiber and marbled surface from yellow to brown colour with some greenish highlights. Specific weight from 0,58 to 0,80 kg/dm3
HEMLOCK WOOD Wood with mechanical resistance and good resistance to chromatic variations. Aspect characterized by medium and irregular weaving. Specific weight from 0,42 to 0, 50 kg/dm3
PINE WOOD Resinous woods that grows slowly and is characterized by a good compactness. It has a rural pleasant aspect with the presence of knots. Specific weight from 0,38 to 0,66 kg/dm3 |
